The Valdez Planning and Zoning Commission held a regular meeting on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at 7:00 PM in the Council Chambers. All commissioners were present except Commissioners Metroca and Wade. - Commissioner Moulton initially indicated he had a list of items but ultimately said he was great. Commissioner Raditic had nothing business-wise. Commissioner Beatis had nothing. Commissioner Goodrow had nothing, noting his questions had been answered by staff.

All right, we can hear you too. I'm gonna go ahead and call this meeting to order for the Valdez Planning and Zoning Commission uh Wednesday, June 25th. Let the record show that all commissioners are present with the exception of Commissioners Metroca and Wade. We have I guess one public member will have a if anyone's here to address us on a non-agended item. Please step forward, state your name for the record. Oh yeah, just to formally, you know, you all know me, I know you, I'm Nate Duvall. I just wanted to formally say hello as the city manager. Uh express appreciation for your service to the to the community planning zoning commission is uh is a key part of of what gets development done around town and uh I think your your level-headed approach to the code and interpreting it and solving problems is is uh it's uh refreshing perspective. So uh again, thank you, but also just by way of introduction. I'm I'm here, I'm around, and uh here to help. Thank you. Thank you. Congratulations. Is that where I have the map in front of me, but it's smaller. Is that where like the old um harbor walkways and stuff are stored right now? Yeah, where Bill had his his uh ramp where he launched his barge and all that or loads his barge. It's right behind that. I rob the opposition or more just I go down with my dog a lot, so I'm just wondering if it's right at pull off there. So it's unless there's another map I'm missing, the small map. Oh see, like all the lay down area. Yeah, right on the corner of uh those two streets. Alaska, yeah. McKinley in Alaska. Well, I see that I see that in the map. And if you're looking out into the water, right on your left-hand side. Right. Okay. But is this right currently? Are there old harbor uh lockdown? You know, the um down. I haven't been out there yet, but they did stage some there for a period of time before they went to the landfill, but most of that I think is maybe it's gone now, but that's where they were. Okay, there was some material stored for the uh uh sewer force main project, but those have all been used up and south of the main pipe yard where the snow machine races are. Yeah, that'd be the south end along the kinley. Yeah, so it's a spot currently used for lay down and storage, what uh correct. Thank you.
