So you have before you today the uh both the applications for the legacy award or nominations for the legacy award along with the voting tally results from uh this board uh voting on the applications, and as you can see from the memo from uh the city clerk's office that based on the voting the rankings were first place for Earl Midlam and tied for second place was Ralph Twitchell and the Venice Area Historical Society.

So uh with the nominations and the voting results in hand, staff is looking for um I guess a decision from this board on um awarding the legacy award for this year.

Now I will say this is you know obviously the first year doing this under the combined board and the new legacy award guidelines.

Um historically speaking, um there is precedent for um awarding an individual and an organization uh that has been done in the past, or this board can do one or the other, or it could uh do nobody.
