Before we begin, I just want to make the uh statement that council member Soto will not be joining us in person or virtually today. All right, our first item, um, item number one, urgency ordinance. Paul, you have it? Uh yes, uh good evening, Mayor Pache, members of the council, Paul Burnell, Planning and Community Preservation Director. Uh as noted in the staff report, this is a public hearing and consideration by council for the adoption ordinance number 24-05, uh, which are emergency measures to regulate the location and operation requirements for massage establishments uh pursuing to government code section six five eight five eight B. Uh as noted in the staff report, uh, as the council may recall, we brought uh urgency ordinance to you back in March, uh March 4th of this year. Uh and again, uh we uh based on the noticing requirements as noted in the report. We have to bring back the ordinance to you, but under the government code section I just cited, we did do a public hearing notice uh in the paper uh citywide. Uh in the event that we need to extend it, we'll follow the procedures as identified in the government code as staff is working towards uh permanent uh revision to our uh massage uh establishment ordinance found in Title V, in addition to revisions to Title 17. Uh again, this evening, based on staff's recommendation, we are recommending the council adopt the ordinance as noted, and I'm available for any comments the council may have at this time.
