Uh this would amend chapters 1232 and 1252 of the Visalia Municipal Code to remove a limited exemption for camping and storing property overnight in our parks and trails.

There would now no longer be any camping allowed in public places in Visalia after the adoption of this ordinance.

The first reading was approved and moved forwarded on an urgency basis.

Um it gives us another tool to take enforcement where we need to throughout the city to address the issues that we do have.

Um my comments from last week, though also reiterated though, this is certainly not the answer to the problem, and and that's been one of the questions that's been posed to me a number of times.

Um we will continue to work with our partners to try and offer outreach and services as much as we possibly can and continue to work towards another solution.
