Lord, we come before you, God, and we begin just by being grateful. I'm grateful for yet another day, grateful uh that you brought football back. And we all get things to enjoy. Uh and Lord, we're grateful most of all for Christ. Um, that you give us a reason to be here and you give us a reason to do all we do. Um, but God, we do want to lift up our brothers and our friends uh in Palo Pinto and all the surrounding areas that are currently dealing with these fires, God. Um God, it is. It has done so much around our community, and so Lord, we pray for protection. Um, but we also pray for rain and some cooler weather. Um, because Lord, uh, you know that uh these things are dangerous and it puts people uh in danger. And so God, we pray for your protection, but we pray for rain so that we can um get back to the normal. Uh and God, we trust you, we trust that you're going to take care of all of us. Uh and Lord, we do pray for our city, uh, Lord, for everyone in it. And just that they would be blessed by you, they'd see you each and every day.
