The Wichita City Council convened on June 23, 2026, for a regular meeting and subsequent workshop. The meeting opened with the pledge of allegiance and call to order. Council approved the minutes from the June 16, 2026 meeting and the consent agenda. A report from the Board of Bids and Contracts was presented and approved. No public comments were made. Council members shared announcements, including a World Cup viewing event and acknowledgments. The council then recessed into executive session for 20 minutes to discuss an EEOC case. The scheduled workshop, which was to include an update on the water works project and three other items, was not conducted as the council proceeded directly to the executive session.
