On December 7 uh 2023, the conservation fund is a nonprofit purchased 6.14 acres of part of land next to um Muddy Creek, which is adjacent to Long Creek Park.

Um the conservation fund purchased the property for 33,100.

Um they entered into negotiations with the city to sell the land to us for 16,550.

We've worked with them extensively, extensively in the past uh to acquire the other larger portions of Long Creek property.

Um this piece does come with some restrictions, so there's passive recreation um and andor buffers.

We don't plan on doing any development with that.

This particular portion extends out that will allow us access to the mountains of sea trails, and it will be conserved used for that and conserved for that until at which point the city acquires additional property so we can make that connection.
