Commissioner Mettler asked how the city encourages development after zoning changes; Satinsky discussed developer outreach and early pre-application meetings. Chair Adams inquired about annexation status for Cooper Mountain; Satinsky explained property-by-property annexation with infrastructure coordination, expecting first annexations within nine months to a year. Chair Adams also asked about redevelopment of former auto dealership sites downtown; Satinsky noted that while no formal plans are in place, the city and redevelopment agency own some parcels, and a prior RFP was paused due to COVID.
