  • Summer Reading Program and Schools Report: Amber Kelly and Melena Tanner reported that the 2026 Summer Reading Program was a major success. Participation reached 835 individuals (575 youth, 260 adults/teens). Youth Services saw a 232% increase over the previous year. Highlights included a foam party, bouncy houses, and community prizes. Adult participation was boosted by San Francisco Giants tickets (250 tickets donated). The partnership with Benicia Unified School District continues, with over 50 books circulated to school sites.
