Hello and welcome to a regular meeting of the Boca Raton City Council. It is May 27, 2025. The time is 1153. We are resuming after our CRA meeting and prior to that our council workshop. Our first item of business is the invocation. Thank you. Welcome everyone to this very special centennial council meeting as we celebrate the centennial as the City of Boca Raton. We pause to reflect with deep gratitude the thousands of people who have worked for this city in every capacity over the last 100 years. From the city's early days with one police officer or one traffic light on Federal Highway, to the great and vibrant city of 100,000 we are now. So many people have contributed to its growth and success, for whom we are deeply grateful. We remember them and we thank them. Also on this special post-memorial day meeting, we remember with honor and gratitude the brave men and women of our armed forces and first responders who gave the ultimate sacrifice defending our freedom. These honorable people, those who came before us, our veterans in service, armed and civil alike, have given us by their hard work and sacrifice this very special opportunity to do the important work of our city and our charge to do our best for the people of Boca Raton, past, present, and future. We take this charge seriously and with deep humility as we begin the second century of the city of Boca Raton. Thank you. Thank you.
