Broken Arrow Economic Development Authority Meeting – December 2, 2025
The Broken Arrow Economic Development Authority (BAEDA) met on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, following the City Council and Municipal Authority meetings. He noted that corporate headquarters and pilots frequently approach the city about such an airport, and that a facility could be a major economic development driver. He mentioned that the city has staff with experience in that area and that he would raise the topic at the upcoming State of the City address. Thank you. Second. Roll call. Right. There are no public hearings, pills, presentation recognitions or awards. No general authority business. Any remarks by governing body members. City manager. Thank you, Madam Chair. I have one other item that I'm going to mention on the horizon, which I've mentioned to council before. Is I believe it's time to consider doing a feasibility study to determine if we could build a municipal regional airport. We get contacted all the time by corporate uh headquarters here in the community and elsewhere about broken arrow could broke his broken air by thinking about doing one. We have pilots that approach us. Obviously, it would yeah, I would I think we reach the point where we need to have a feasibility stunt to determine exactly what would be necessary and what the cost would be, and if council decided to go forward, how you would look to actually begin implementing such an initiative. And we're very fortunate that we have folks in the engineering construction department that have experience in that area. It is a major economic development driver, an airport can be, and so I believe it's time to take a look at that. And I'm just gonna mention it at the state of the city, and I just want the council to public to be aware that I will be bringing that up uh next Wednesday. I like it. So thank you, sir.
