If you all sit uh please keep standing up. Uh it's a custom that we observe a moment of silence for those notable persons from our community. And I'll go around the commission. Uh Commissioner Davis. Okay. Okay. I would like for us to remember Walter Snipes, Junior. You might know that name, Brenda Snipes' husband, who was a longtime educator, who deeply cared about empower in our youth. He leaves behind a long legacy of philanthropy. He will be missed by everyone he has touched. May so rest in peace. Thank you. Let's honor all the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve in the armed forces, both here and abroad, and thank you for their for their service. We'll take a moment of silence. And thank you for breakfast. Today we have employee recognition for our employees who've worked here for 20 years or longer. And before I move on, I just want to take a moment to say uh how much we really appreciate all the work you all do. I know we we've heard different things on a federal level where I I don't think federal employees are being treated very well. And I think we we do it differently here. And I you know I think the idea of trying to empower people and empower our employees is something that we try to do on a regular basis. And I just want to, you know, you all make our lives and everybody's lives in this county infinitely better for everything you do. So thank you from this commission, and let's let's award everybody these 20 years. Okay. Yes, we have a lot today. So we get to recognize and celebrate today. So as the mayor um said, um I I really want to thank you. Um I am I'm really um humbled to be uh serving in this role. I thank the commission for their support, um, and certainly I want to thank each of you for each and every day for what you show up to do for our community. Um it's a labor of love, and I know that you have a tremendous amount of passion, uh, and you show up every day with a lot of enthusiasm to try to solve the challenges we've got. So without further ado, we're gonna start celebrating our employees.
