The Broward County Board of County Commissioners met on Tuesday, December 9, 2025, from 10:09 a.m. to 1:28 p.m. in Room 422 of the Governmental Center. Good morning, everyone. Can you grab a seat? Good morning, everybody. Uh, welcome to the Brouwer County Commission meeting. Today is Tuesday, December ninth, and ask everybody to first please rise for pledge of allegiance and please remain standing afterwards. And in the eleven years I've been here, I've never asked of seen someone lead the pledge of allegiance. Uh, Dre Myers, why don't you lead us in the Pledge of Allegiance? So I'm gonna go around call ask colleagues uh to identify anybody if they have anyone. Good morning, everyone. Notable Beryl Dolores Warren, also known as Onabody. Miss Burial passed on November twenty third, she's survived by her five children. Twelve grandchildren, four great grand, she was a light of the community. She will be miss, and I just want to acknowledge Aisha Gordon from the city of Oakland Park, who asked me to mention this person from Oakland Park. She lived in Weston. I attended a celebration of life for her last week. She's a beloved member of the community. Michelle Koenig's life was a testament to love, service, and unwavering commitment to enriching the lives of others. She shared nearly 70 remarkable years of marriage with her beloved husband Paul, and together they built a loving family and a legacy of contributions to the arts and beyond in the city she loved and all of South Florida. Her motto was helping others. And that's been a way of life for her, she said. It is important to get back to the community by developing programs, culture, activities, and needed services for many organizations which make a difference in the lives of our South Florida community. She was involved with many, many things. However, her passion was the arts and arts development shone the brightest. She was the organizer of the Western Philharmonic, now known as the Western Music Society. She brought world-class enrichment programs to Western schools. And in addition to that, as a founding member and president of the Arts Council of Greater Weston, she also created the Art Walk and the Foreign Film Series. Among her many honors, Rochelle was inducted into the Broward County Senior Hall of Fame, received the 25 Year Service Award from the Jewish Federation of Broward County, and named one of the 100 outstanding women of Broward County for her decades of volunteer work and was named Woman of Style and Substance by the Philharmonic Orchestra Society for her many contributions to the arts. Just would like us all to keep her and her legacy an important one in our memory. Thank you. Thank you. I just want to uh give my condolences to Paola Isaacs on the past of her husband. Thank you.
