Meeting Transcript
Good evening everybody. This is Tuesday, June 18th, 2024, 5 30 PM. We're here for a special council meeting, which will be followed at 5 45 by our regular scheduled council meeting. Can I get a roll call, please? All council members are present. Uh I get a waiver motion. Mr. Mayor, I move to waive the reading in full of all ordinances and resolutions presented for adoption at this meeting. This is a public hearing, Toby. Thank you, Mayor D. Council members, good evening. Uh tonight we start our meeting with our budget workshop public hearing annual adoption. Uh we've gone through this lengthy process with council. We've held workshops, we've actually had this on the last agenda as well, so we won't go through the entire budget. I'm happy to answer any questions that council or the public has. There are two capital improvement projects that I would like to highlight. One is the Food for Families Food Bank Expansion. If anyone has worked in that facility, you know that facility needs upgrades. It is one of the hardest things about volunteering there is the uh building itself. Another capital improvement project that I'm very excited to see is the Bullhead Middle School Athletic Fields. Every time I drive by there, I just think that you know we can do better for those kids. So I'm excited to see that. I do think that this is a good budget, and I would vote to approve. Thank you. Thank you. Is there anyone else? No one else? All right, then we'll move to item number three. Item number three, discussion and possible action to adopt resolution number 2024 R-29 establishing the final budget for fiscal year 2024-2025 for the City of Bullhead City, Arizona. All right, I'll entertain a motion. I move to um approve the final adoption of the fiscal 24-25 budget. Second motion. Cast your votes. Seven in favor of the motion. Motion carries. All right, because of our scheduling and what do you call that? Uh gratis? Granicus. Granicus. Yes, sir. We have to take a short break and we'll be back in 10 minutes at 5.45 to start our council meeting. Thank you.
