Bullhead City Special Meeting: Canvass of Primary Election Results – August 19, 2024
The Bullhead City Council held a special meeting on Monday, August 19, 2024, at 3 p.m. to canvass, declare, and adopt the official results of the July 30, 2024 primary election for the City of Bullhead City, as certified by the Mojave County Elections Department. The election determined four council members and the outcome of Proposition 416. After a brief presentation by staff, the council unanimously adopted Resolution 2024 R-41 to affirm the election results.

Good afternoon, everyone. This is Monday, August 19th, 2024. It's 3 p.m. We're here for a special meeting. Can I get a roll call, please? All council members are present. Thank you. I'd like to call this uh meeting to order. Toby. Mayor Demico Council members, this afternoon you're here for a very uh specific purpose, and that's canvassing and declaring and adopting the election results submitted by the Mojave County Elections Department for the July 30th, 2024 primary election for Bullhead City. The city did in fact hold a primary election on the 30th for the election of four council members, and the residents also voted on proposition 416 at that same election. I'll read them in order. So the the vote results were in, and the top four vote getters who received the most votes were Rodney Head, Karen Dahlman, Jason Newland, and Eugene O'Neill. Uh in the packet are the other candidates and the votes they received uh for the city council election. For Prop 416, the yes votes were 4,396. The no votes were 2,273. So today uh you're voting on the affirmation of those results as sent to you by Mojave County elections. Any questions, Garn, Debbie, and myself will be happy to answer those. Anyone have any questions, comments? All right, then I guess we're ready for a motion. I'll move to adopt resolution 2024 R-41. Second of motion. All right, cast your votes.
