Um it addresses behavior, so it doesn't measure it in decibels.

We currently have multiple areas under city code that already address noise issues within the city.

We have our general uh noise ordinance, and that general noise ordinance already regulates it potentially there is a level of overlap here, but the enforcement side of it is is trickier.

Um it requires it has time frames within that ordinance and it requires an officer with a decibel meter reader to uh within has to go above a certain threshold within a certain area um six times within a minute within three minutes or um more than over collectively over a minute within three minutes.

Um it then has regulations in the night time for amplified noise and then business related noises.

That's kind of what our comprehensive noise ordinance covers.

We have also under the animal care ordinance, we have uh nuisance noise related to um when dogs are barking or creating excessive noise, that's an overlap as well.

But we have something specific that can target there.

Probably the closest on point is 871, which is like where we regulated vehicle brakes and it was very targeted to a specific modification on specific vehicles creating a specific noise.
