Now it says here uh announcements and and petitions.

Anna Scott, do you want to say anything or not?

We don't have any petitions.

And the only announcement that's on the agenda is just on behalf of staff in the town.

We wanted to thank John and Susan for their service on the community design commission.

Um have been here longer than me, so I don't know exactly how long you've been serving.

If you if you want to share, please feel free.

But um, we're just really appreciative of all the time you've dedicated to this board.

No, I I uh Susan's been here a year longer than I because you fulfilled the term, didn't you?

Yeah.

So uh seven years and six years, you know.

Um I've enjoyed most of it.

Well, it's been um it's been an interesting experience, and I think I'm I was reflecting on it, and I'm so glad um Liz that you're on this call because I think um the last few years have been extremely useful, and um my tips to you that are going to be on it, hi Liz, um are that uh the it's too bad we still don't have as much uh influence as we used to have, but I'm so thrilled that um we have a strong connection with the planning commission now, and um Liz and John and John Mitchell and myself have really worked at that the last couple of years, and I think that's been very important so that when we do talk to developers, we're speaking almost as one voice, not quite, and it doesn't have to be, but the idea that we have been trying to zero in on things that are most important to developers, I think is essential.

And speaking and writing our own reports to developers, I think has been a key.

Yeah, that has helped.

Elizabeth, do you want to say a word?

Just one quick word.

Um, also a thanks to the two of you, and I just want to say, at least I'm speaking on my personal uh behalf, but I think that there are a lot of projects that have taken place in this town which are better projects because of the input that you two and many of your other past uh CDC members.

So I really appreciate all that uh very constructive input that you all have provided and and advice and oversight.

I just wanted I wanted to, I didn't just I want to thank you both for the great example you both have set.

Um for engaging uh in the community.

Uh I think um uh John, I feel a particularly kindred spirit with you.

You're willing to uh entertain my crazy idea of public art and even attended a meeting with me at the public library, and so I just am grateful for uh for the way you've you've led this commission and and Susan to you as well for all the important contribution you've had.

I think our communities are what we make them, and by you being here, you have helped to make our community a better place.

So thank you.
