I just have a few things I want to say.

You know, it just seems like such a short time ago, but it's been two years that uh two years ago that we were in the civic center.

Um it was COVID.

We were 10 feet apart.

And uh we were sworn into our offices as mayor and some of us as city council members.

It was also two years ago that uh this team of uh city officials, judges, and uh directors took their oath of office also.

But today we're back and we get to do the same thing.

Um we get to begin another two-year term.

I'm not one for long speeches, but there was a few things that I want to say um, if I could.

And the first is I'd like to say thank you to our employee team.

Um I'm really proud of the almost 500 people who work for the city of Cheyenne, Board of Public Utilities, who have dedicated themselves to serving the residents of Cheyenne.

They prove it every day in the way that they do their jobs.

I also want to say thanks to the folks who'll be taking their oaths today, which is our team of directors and city officials.

I really like working with this group.

They've shown great dedication to our city, and I'm really thankful they're willing to serve for the next two years.

Two years ago, we pledged to work together and agree to the way that we would do business.
