Cheyenne City Council Meeting - August 12, 2024
The Cheyenne City Council met on August 12, 2024, at 6:00 p.m. in Council Chambers. The meeting included consent agenda approvals, public hearings on a liquor license transfer and two annexations, first readings of several ordinances, an appointment, and an emergency procurement report.

Public Comments & Testimony
- Liquor License Transfer (307 Racing Management): Kyle Ridgway, president of 307 Racing Management, provided background on the multi-step approval process including county commissioners, Board of Adjustment, and Wyoming Gaming Commission. He noted no public opposition at prior hearings. Councilmembers questioned proximity to a school, police call data (109 calls at the existing Pershing location vs. 36 at the current D.T.'s location), and potential saturation of gaming facilities. All agenda items listed with the designation of CAR considered to be routine items by the governing body and will be enacted by one motion. There will be no separate discussion on these items unless a member of the governing body so requests and support by two other members is received.
