The Board of Works met on July 21, 2026, with members John Pickett, Brenda Sullivan, and Eric Fry present. The Mayor and Melanie were absent. The meeting covered approvals of contracts, job descriptions, grant awards, and several operational items.
Gotta keep you guys in mind. I love I love this gavel. Praise helping a long time. Ever. Uh so I'd like to call this meeting to order, and I'll start with roll call. John Pickett. Brenda Sullivan here. Eric Fry is present. And uh the mayor and Melanie are not in attendance today. So first item uh for consideration the approval of the July 14th meeting minutes. I'll move to approval. Second, we have a motion and a second to approve the meeting minutes. All those in favor say aye. Aye. Those opposed. All right. Animal sheltered contract approval. Doug's uncle. It's actually happening, huh? Yeah. I told you uh a month ago when I was here to do the LI that I would be back, and so I'm back. And we're able to finalize all the terms. Uh nothing changed on it from uh financial standpoint, but we just finalized some of the contract terms and a few other things, and so that was all ready to go. So happy to answer any questions that you've got, but uh just looking for approval so that we can execute that contract. We have to open it for a public hearing as well. Okay, because it's a bot. Okay. Um just to clarify. So the this is the guaranteed price. And the agreement has what for the for the scope of work that that was in the scope of works attached to the on the on the back of the contract that as well as uh we previously so we circulated the drawings, but it's basically 8.599 uh million dollars is the was the final uh agreed uh price for that scope of work. So at this point in time, I'll open up the uh public hearing and uh entertain any questions, comments. I was waiting for Brad Davis to raise his hand. I looked right over to the corner, he's not there, so if there's no questions or comments, then I can officially close the public hearing. I should gavel again, Jimmy.
