0:46

So what I have for you today is a quote from Axon, which is our existing supplier for our body worn cameras, our in-car cameras, and our tasers, as well as a uh an online evidence management platform for all the videos that our officers take.

1:04

So our contract is up for renewal.

1:08

So I got a quote from Axon.

1:11

Uh worked closely with Alex to make sure the terms were agreeable for the city.

1:19

And also got with IT about the statement of work for installation of the new in-car cameras.

1:26

So what this quote would do over the course of five years.

1:32

Right away in 2027, we would get um all new body worn cameras, all new tasers, all new in-car cameras.

1:39

Um just a complete refresh of the equipment.

1:42

And then throughout the course of the uh the contract in 2029 and in 2032, we would get new sets of body worn cameras.

1:51

Those really do need uh replaced more often um because they're constantly having their batteries charged up and depleted over the course of a shift.

1:59

Um, and the the benefit of um doing it under a contract like this is we're on the uh the body four devices right now.

2:07

Um, but if a body five comes out uh part way through, they will just supply us with the the next generation of equipment.

Speaker 3

2:15

Um I have a question.

Speaker 5

2:17

Yes,

Speaker 3

2:17

what do you do with the old equipment?

Speaker 5

2:19

Uh that gets returned to Axon.

2:21

They recycle all the internal components um and everything like that.

2:24

So uh we don't have to um deal with that on our end.

Speaker 3

2:29

That's pretty cool.

Speaker 1

2:32

Any other questions?

Speaker 3

2:36

Um I am none.

2:38

I will move to approve the contract for the equipment and technology service services with all second.
