0:38

Um but uh good morning, Mayor, good morning board.

0:41

So um, yes, I'm here with our service agreement for counseling services for our officers.

0:47

It's a program that we started last year um just as uh a step for help that an officer can initiate on their own when they feel stressed from the job and everything else.

1:00

Um it's 100% confidential between them and the therapist um rather than if we were to let things progress to the point where we were having performance issues at work and everything like that, do an EAP referral.

1:14

Um, you know, then there it's there's a little bit less confidentiality there.

1:18

So we like this is kind of a diversion where officers can prevent themselves from getting that to that point in the first place.

1:25

Um so over the past year, um, like I said, this is a renewal.

1:29

Uh we have um had decent engagement um with the program.

1:33

So CPD will cover up to six sessions per officer per year, and um over the course of 2026 so far.

1:42

Uh we've had 23 sessions um scheduled through this program.

Speaker 5

2:53

practice like that.

Speaker 2

3:01

Yes.

Speaker 1

3:01

I believe sometimes she comes to City Hall, correct?

Speaker 2

3:04

Yes, actually, the the way we started our relationship with her is um every year we have um every one of our employees um sit down with her for a one-hour session.

3:16

Um, and that that's kind of um honestly for people like me that wouldn't pull the trigger on their own um to actually reach out and schedule an appointment.

3:24

And I I've found that beneficial myself, um, and I know other employees have as
