This meeting of the Cook County Transportation Committee was called to order at 18:15. A quorum was present with excused absences for Commissioners Gaynor, Moore, Sean Morrison, and Stamps, and an unexcused absence for Commissioner Britton. The committee approved the minutes from June 10, 2026 (Item 29-1954) and then voted on a bundled motion of seven items. At your call. Um, I'd like to call the transportation committee um to order and uh to reconvene. Ma'am, at your recess, you did have a quorum. The following members are absent. There's an absence for Commissioner Britton. Then there are excuse absences for Gaynor, Moore, Sean Morrison, and stamps. There is a quorum. Okay, we'll begin with any changes to the agenda or any public speakers for today's meeting. We have no changes for your agenda. One speaker, George Blakemore. I do not see him in the room. George Blakemore. That concludes your list of speakers, ma'am. Okay. We will begin with uh the first item on our agenda, which is the committee minutes uh from June 10th. This item is 29-1954. We'll ask I'll entertain a motion to approve. Moved by Commissioner Larry, second by Commissioner Vasquez. All those in favor signify by saying aye. All those opposed, nays. The ayes have it. Now we will do a bundle motion for the following items. Item 26-1393. This is a proposed contract amendment with Alfred uh Benish and company. Um this is gonna be for Bussey Road uh and Gulf Road on Central Road County Districts 9 and 15. Item 26-1397, a proposed improvement resolution, motor fuel fuel tax project with the create program. Um item 26-1398. This is a proposed improvement resolution also for motor fuel uh tax projects. Um this program and uh 75th Street Corridor Improvement Programs County with districts two, three, four, seven, and eleven. Item 26-1399 is a proposed agreement with Elk Grove uh Village of Illinois. The county will restrict um the extraction of uh portable uh water with its highway right of way at 1e Higgins Road at Arlington Heights Road. Um also item 26-1400 is a proposed intergovernmental agreement with the village of Skokie for construction. This is in the 13th district.
