0:08

Uh, my name's Chick Loken purchasing agent.

0:10

We have what's with us in attendance today, Mr.

0:12

Antonio Hiderola, our city engineerslash public works director, Mr.

0:17

Tim Nolan, superintendent of public services, Mr.

0:20

David Day, Superintendent Superintendent of Public Utilities, Ms.

0:24

Stephanie Taley, System Purchasing Agent.

0:26

We have attorney Tracy Norris, our assistant corporation counsel, Mr.

0:30

Dan Garrick, our finance director.

0:34

We had four items on the agenda.

0:35

The first one is being removed, and then we're going to be looking to add an item at the end.

0:40

So we'll protect the four items.

0:42

So we're going to move to item number two.

0:44

This is the purchase of a 2026 Ford F by 50 four by four trucks, two of them with all weather stainless steel dump bodies and related accessory items for the highway department.

0:57

Yeah, for the record, the uh highway department submitted a requisition with the generous Ford.

1:02

Uh, this is to purchase the two subject trucks.

1:05

Uh the total uh the unit uh cost that was quoted is 184, 156.95 cents total for the two 368,313.90 cents and generous forward quoted this under their current state of Connecticut contract award.

1:23

So I motion that we award the two trucks uh to uh Bring Riscord for the state contract at the stated price.

1:30

Okay, second second by Mr.

1:32

Garrick.

1:32

This would be a purchase order.

1:34

Any discussion?

1:35

Say none, all in favor.

1:40

M Nolan, I vote in favor.

1:41

Okay, motion carried unanimously.

1:43

Moving on to our agenda item number three, uh purchase a 2026 Ford F 50 four by four truck with a stainless steel dump body and related accessory items for the highway department.

1:55

And again, for the record, highway department submitted a record of Generous Ford.

1:59

Uh, this is to purchase the subject vehicle, the total quoted cost 143, 710.95 cents.

2:07

And again, Generous Ford quoted this item for their current state contract award.

2:12

So I make a motion that we award the single truck to Grangers Ford for the state contract at the stated price.

2:18

Okay, second seconded by Mr.

2:20

Garrick.

2:21

Any discussion?

2:22

The only discussion is that the lower cost uh for this vehicle versus the two um uh initial vehicles that we were discussing uh does not include all season or all uh season uh salt distribution body.

2:38

So this is just a dump body with a plow.

2:41

The other one had a plow and an all-season body that uh controlled and distributed all from its body.

2:48

All right, any further discussion.

2:52

None all in favor.

2:53

Okay, Garrick, I'm all in favor.

2:56

Tim Nolan, I vote in favor.

2:58

Okay, motion carries unanimously.

3:00

Uh moving on to uh agenda item number four, uh purchase a tiger brew LRS boom mower with John Deere 6105E four-wheel drive tractor highway department.

3:13

And for the record, highway department's for the requisition, they got the tri-county contractor supply.

3:18

Uh, this is to purchase the uh subject mower mounted on the noted John Deere tractor.

3:25

Uh the total quoted cost 209,573 cents and tri-county contractor supply quoted this for their current uh source while uh government cooperative contract.

3:39

Can I make a motion?

3:40

We award the tractor mower combination to tri-county contractor supply at the stated price for the source fall cooperative.

3:48

Okay.

3:49

Second.

3:49

Second by Mr.

3:50

Garrick, we purchase order.

3:52

Any discussion?

3:54

Saying none, all in favor.

3:58

Tim Nolan, I vote in favor.

3:59

Okay, motion carries unanimously.

4:02

And at this point, I think we want to add an item amendment to agreement between the Olea Water and the City of Danbury for the uh five facility operations.

4:13

I make that motion.

4:14

Okay.

4:15

Second, seconded by Mr.

4:16

Garrick.

4:17

Any discussion on the ad.

4:20

See none all in favor.

4:25

All right, motion carried unanimously.

4:28

And just the background on this, Mr.

4:30

Day had submitted a uh memo.

4:32

This is dated uh February 27, 2026, uh, requesting uh board approval to execute an eighth amendment uh to the wastewater treatment plant service agreement between the city of Danbury and Violet Water.

4:45

Uh the memo, it's indicated that Violia Water uh had ID'd operational improvements since their time of operation of the FOG receiving um and the biodiesel facility in July 2025.

5:01

This eighth amendment would incorporate those operational improvements and no additional cost to the city.

5:08

So we're going to be looking for a motion to allow for uh execution of that amendment.

5:13

Yes, I'd like to make that motion.

5:15

Okay.

5:16

Second by Mr.

5:17

Garrick.

5:18

Any discussion?

5:19

Um the uh this um disagenda item has been um pending on the Board of Awards.

5:27

Um is tied into a lawsuit that has nothing to do with us, but unfortunately, the complication of that lawsuit um would not allow us to execute this agreement.

5:37

Uh the lawsuit was settled yesterday afternoon, and it's urgent a business matter that this get voted on this morning.

5:44

Okay.

5:45

And I think we want to uh allow either yourself or Dave to execute as we've done in the past.

5:53

Okay, so we'll make that part of the motion, I guess.

5:55

Yeah.

5:56

You're okay with that.

5:57

All right.

5:58

Any further discussion?

6:00

See none, all in favor.
