Meeting Transcript
Okay, this is the Board of Awards for Wednesday uh May 20th, 2026, calling the meeting to order at 1002 a.m. Uh, my name is Chip Folky. I'm the purchasing agent. We have a list of some tenants today, attorney Tracy Norris, our assistant corporation counsel. We have Mr. Dan Petrovic, our assistant city engineer, Mr. Debbie Natale, assistant purchasing agent. We have Mr. David Day, Superintendent of Public Utilities, and we have Mr. Dan Garrick, our finance director. Uh just note for the record item uh one and four are going to be removed. So we're gonna just be doing items two and three on the agenda. Uh so the first item would be the one year extension of an agreement between Violi and City of Danbury for the operation and maintenance of the water pollution control plant, public utilities department. For the record, uh Mr. Day submitted a uh letter from Violia. This is dated May 18, 2026, and it's basically acknowledging the desire of the city of Danbury of Eolia to extend the uh subject agreement for one year, be for July 1st, 2026 through June 30th, 2027, be under the same terms and conditions as the existing contract, and it'll be uh during that time. The city will be working to negotiate a long-term renewal. Correct. So we're requesting board of order approval of proposed one year extension, which will follow the same terms and conditions of the current service agreement. We are also requesting uh the board to approval to allow Antonio or myself, I support the one-year extension on behalf of the city. Okay, so make that as a motion. I'll make that as a motion. Okay, second by Mr. Garrick on discussion. Seeing none all in favor. Dan Garrick all in favor. Tracy, no recycle payment. David Day, all in favor. Okay, motion carries unanimously, and then moving on to the next last item. Uh speed and traffic comments software solution engineering department. For the record, the engineering department submitted a requisition. This is made out of the urban SDK. Uh, this is to purchase the subject software and uh costs at uh $20,500 for a one-year term, along with the requisition. Uh, the engineering department included the detailed sole source justification, uh, which indicated that the urban SDK platform uh is the only system offering all required traffic calming speed study and mobility analytic functions in a single solution. So I'd like to make make a motion to award to urban SDK uh for 20,500 as a sole source uh contingent upon uh excuse of the agreement. Okay, second second uh Mr. Garrick, any discussion? See none all in favor. Okay, single recycle favor. Motion carries unanimously, motion to adjourn. Second by Mr. Garrett, all in favor. Aye, opposed, so carry. Thank you.
