Equipment maintenance requested an amendment for an additional $20,000, raising the total to $45,000, which exceeded the purchasing agent’s $35,000 limit, requiring board approval.

Meeting Transcript
Okay, this is the Board of Awards for Wednesday, May 13th, 2026, calling the meeting to order at 1004 a.m. Um I make the chip bulk of the purchasing agent. We have a list of attendance today, Mr. Tom Janesky, our assistant superintendent of public services, Ms. Kara Ponte, assistant finance director. We have Mrs. Ms. W. Natalia, assistant purchasing agent. We have Mr. Caton Higgins, our assistant superintendent of public utilities, and attorney Tracy Norris from Sisting Corporation Council. Just two items on the agenda. I'm going to use the uh acronyms, I think, on this instead of engineering services for Kenosha Wellfield, uh PCE and per the PFAS final design for public utilities. So for the record on this, we previously awarded the uh engineering services for the Kenosha Well field to Taten Howard for their on call contract. Uh the amount was not to exceed 360,100. Uh public utilities has submitted a proposal letter from Tate and Howard, dated April 10th, 2026. This is for additional engineering services in the amount of 26,900. This is for work that is outside the original scope. So we need to make a motion to award the additional 26,900 to Tata and Howard for engineering services for our Kenosha well uh PFOS project. Okay. Second by Ms. Prunty. Any discussion? Seeing none all in favor. Ken Higgins, I vote in favor. All right, motion carries unanimously. And the second item on the purchase of OEM Street Street Street Sweeper replacement parts and service for equipment maintenance. And then for the record, we previously should have purchased the CN Wood and Viral. This was to purchase these items on an as needed basis. Uh the initial model was not to exceed $25,000. And that purchase order was issued to CM Wood based on their static and under contract. Uh, we received a request from according to maintenance to amend that order by an additional $20,000. So the amount exceeds my limit of authority, which is $35,000. So we need approval uh now for the amendment and to award to CN Wood for uh super price by the state contract. So I made the motion to award $45,000 for the state contract or cedar wood. Okay. Second by Ms. Brunty. Any discussion? It's purchase order. Seeing none of all in favor. Tom Janeski vote there for the motion carrying the same motion adjourned. Second by Ms. Prunty, all there adjourned. Aye opposed. So carry.
