My name is Chick Volker, the purchasing agent.

We have with us an attendance today, Mr.

Viesner Rowan, our deputy director of community health.

We have attorney Tracy Norris, Assistant Corporation Counsel.

Mr.

Dan Petrovic, your assistant city engineer, Miss Stephanie Tali, assistant purchasing agent.

We have Mr.

Cat Higgins, Assistant Superintendent of Public Utilities.

And we have Ms.

Joanne Surk, our assistant finance director.

We have five items on the agenda.

First item, Affordable Housing Administration, and Certification Services, Health and Human Services.

And for the record, the health department uh submitted a proposal letter from NP rentals and management.

It's dated June 7, 2026.

This is to perform the subject services on an as required basis.

The cost would be 465 per transaction.

And there's a 195 uh per hour consulting fee if needed, uh, along with the proposal letter.

The health department included a sole source justification, uh, which indicated that NP uh rentals has been providing these services for the health department since 2017, and they are the only known area source.

Uh we need a motion from you, please.

I make motion to award the formal housing administration and certification service contract as a sole source to then be rentals at the genetic contingent on the execution of the agreement.

Second of uh Stirk uh in discussion.

This is about $5,000 a year.

This is just uh any further discussion?

Next item is a mouthful.

This is the second amendment to the memorandum of understanding, MOU and sub-recipient agreement between the City of Danbury and Association of Religious Communities, ARC to manage and operate the Danbury Support Center at the 41 New Street Shelter and the 98 Alm Street Shelter.

Good.

For the record, uh the subject MOU and sub recipient agreement was previously awarded at the February 4th, 2026 Board of Award.

At that time, uh was her services in the amount of $659,839.

And the term had been extended at that meeting for June 30th, 2026.

Uh the health department has submitted this new amendment request, which would extend the term to June 30th, 2027, and increase the total funding to 749,839.

Uh it's also indicated in the agreement uh that uh it will address shelter cleaning services and delineate uh delineate the specific terms and conditions that are governing the management operation of the shelters as well as financial and progress reporting requirements.

Okay, and then I'll just note through for the record that the funding sources uh for the services, state of Connecticut Department of Housing, Small Cities, Community Development Block Grant, and then the emergency shelter services grant.

Okay.

If I said all that correctly, we need a motion from you to allow for the execution of that amendment.

I make a motion to award the Homeland Shelter Administration and Management Services and the Association of Religious Communities at presented and contingent upon the execution of the MOU and subsequent agreement.

Uh moving on item number three.

This is a bid for watch crushstone, screen gravel and process aggregate.

And for the record, this is an annual unit price bid for items to be purchased as needed.

Uh, we previously awarded this to EarthMovers and Stone Construction.

It was awarded by item.

Uh, that previous bid award expired on July 9th, 2026.

Uh, there was an option to renew for one year by mutual consent.

And uh both uh vendors have indicated uh that they would uh hold their current pricing for an additional year.

I'd like to make a motion to award the wash crushed stone, screen gravel process aggregate, uh renewing the one-year same pricing agreement with stone construction and earthmovers.
