Both organizations, District Three has been collaborating with for some pretty expansive efforts to build more community gardens, urban farms, and food forests in District 3.

More news to come, but I just wanted to raise up those two organizations for the great collaborative work that we've been doing for those uh types of um uh food distribution and growth in district three.

Councilmember Kashmann emphasized the importance of preserving the mature tree canopy, citing climate goals and the city's urban forest plan. He requested a postponement to work with forestry on protections. Councilmember Flynn noted that the O-1 portion was originally intended as a buffer.
