We do have a full executive session calendar today, but we have a limited general session calendar, and so I want to open it up for announcements if there are announcements any members have they want to make for the public at home or for their fellow council members who are here.

Just wanted to remind residents of District 5.

We are hosting our You are all good.

Residents of District 5, we are hosting our annual um community open house at George Washington High School on Tuesday, February 11th, um at 5 30 p.m.

So come and join us.

Huge lunar new year celebration.

So I hope folks will go by.

And I do just want to call attention to one of the items coming through the Mayor Council agenda.

Um it is uh finally the construction dollars for building the Westwood community center.

I'm sorry, the Westwood Rec Center.

Uh restwood rec center on Morrison Road.

So thrilled um about that.

And um Clerk Lopez, if he's watching, uh, that was one of the first things that he came into office trying to advocate for.

Um, and uh it will break ground very soon.

So congratulations, well done.

Um yes, Councilwoman Lewis.

Okay, thank you.

Um, so for District A constituents, we have a town hall um on February 8th, and this will be an opportunity for you all to determine what our priorities are moving forward into 2025 by way of our community panels.

We have very successful community panels last year.

Um, where we able to bring in 485,000 dollars into the district, and so hopefully we'll be successful in that regard again.

It will be at the Hiawatha Davis Recreation Center on February 8th from 11 to 1 p.m.

And there will be food in case anyone doesn't want to talk to me but wants to have something to eat.

And in addition to that, we do have our survey out as well.

I um wanted to just um really thank Councilwoman Torres for for leading the efforts for the lymph of the year um proclamation.

And it was really lovely last night to do be able to do that.

Um, but we are also there is also another um celebration that is happening this Thursday, and it's actually with your office and the city council uh uh that are um co-sponsoring an event at the Westwood Community Center from 5 30 to 7 30.

And so there will be celebration happening then as well.
