Uh delighted to have some friends from Dotty here.

We're gonna present in a little bit.

But I first want to start with introductions.

Um, but first I want to open with announcements if there are announcements that council members have for other members or for the public at large.

You have a new hairdo.

Just no announcements pending on haircuts.

Um, this Wednesday off uh at 38th and Tennyson.

There's the old Elych.

Elychs used to be in my council district.

Um, I'm doing yoga in the park for free.

It's actually under uh carousel.

So it's from six to seven, and just bring because in case it rains, we had to council them last year, so we figured out a new place.

Um, it's one of our local yoga uh studios who's leading it, and so bring your yoga mat and come do yoga with us and show out at six o'clock this Wednesday.

I we have not this Wednesday, but next Wednesday, the eighteenth.

Um, at Roseman Park, we're doing a play date.

Um, it's kind of a play date office hours.

So from 3 30 to 5 o'clock in the park.

We are going to go where people already are and talk with families.

Um talk with families with children, talk with children, talk with whoever comes by.

But um, we're just doing a play date office hours.

We do have a special announcement up on top today that Councilman Watson is going to leave us in.

So in honor of our coming Juneteenth holiday, I want to invite Councilman Watson to read a proclamation that he has pulled together.

And this is in conjunction with the mayor and Denver City Council District 9.

And this is in celebration of the 2025 Juneteenth celebration that'll be happening this Sunday.

Whereas the city and county of Denver's Black Community has long been a vital part of our city's vibrant cultural, economic, and civic fabric, shaping its history with resilience, creativity, and strength.

And whereas from the historic Five Points neighborhood, once known as the Holland of the West, still known as the Holland of the West, to many contributors kind to many to the many contributions in arts, education, business, and activism.

Generations of Black Denverites have enriched the city in countless ways.
