Getting her driver's license on Friday, because we arrived at the REP Taylor building for our appointment at two PM on Friday, and I said, Great, grab your paperwork and let's go in.

And she said, she left her paperwork at home.

It was a sad weekend.

We do have time for some uh announcements this morning.

We don't have a general session schedule this morning.

We do have an executive session, so we'll be a bit shorter of a meeting than normal, but I'm sure there may be some announcements folks want to share with fellow members or the listening public.

Um, and good morning.

Uh this Friday, June 5th, is the Welshire 100 celebration.

And it's um the Welshire is a golf course uh that has been around and designed by this uh golf course designer named Donald Ross.

He is the this is the only public golf course west of the Mississippi.

Um, and we are doing a celebration.

So not only for Southeast Denver, but I think for the city of Denver.

Um, this is a big deal that we have a treasure in our community, and we are gonna celebrate it with a golf tournament in the morning and a community celebration from five to eight p.m.

Um at the Welshires.

So if you're interested, please come by.

We'd love to see you.

You can walk around the Welshire Inn.

I was remiss last night not to announce June is Pride Month, so come out, be happy, be loud, be proud, be gay.

Well, at least I will.

It's not a requirement.

Uh it is such an important opportunity.

Um and always to make sure that folks in our communities feel safe, welcomed, and loved in the communities that they choose to live and be in.

And uh Pride Month is all about that.

All inclusive.

So come and walk with uh Watson uh for Denver.

Um you can go to Daryl uh at uh gosh, what's my email?

I'm at Denver.gov.org to sign up to walk with our team, and then also Juneteenth uh parade is on the 20th of uh June.

Um so you can also come out and walk with our team.

It starts at uh Manual High School, the mighty Thunderbolts.

Uh you can come and walk with our team and meet with folks throughout uh the community.

So two great events, one great month.

Um, and um happy pride to everyone.

I just want to say thank you for your statement to for in support of Councilman Parody.

It's a big announcement for us on council, and I appreciated you making this statement as well.

So thank you for that.

Yeah, I know it was an emotional night last night.

Thank you all for your incredible support and outreach, and uh, do everything we can to support her in the transition, incredibly grateful for her service to the city.

So I know it's not an easy decision or one that she took lately.

Um but uh thank you all for all the ways in which you've rallied around her when I know are not easy times.
