Um well they were kind of wondering what what can we what could they do on behalf of the city?

Um and you know, do we know of any needs?

And so I talked about this, you know, committee and how you guys tend to have like a pulse on on the community, and um you know, they would like to I think offer more more things, offer more service to to residents within the city.

And so I thought, well, I feel like it's kind of a a broader discussion because we talked about how the city has to be careful with, you know, who they partner with, who they you know work with.

And so I just I thought this might be a good group, and especially with you know Linda being here in Kelly to talk about what kind of things could we um partner with, what kind of organizations, or even just to um disseminate information or you know, those kinds of things.

Um because I think when we had a discussion about the pantry, um at first we were we were kind of like no, we sh we can't, but now it is kind of a government supported entity, right?

Because it's part of the Utah food bank system.

So does would that make it something that we could at least you know like pass on information if they need something or if there's volunteer opportunities or I think so we're Utah Food Bank?

Uh yeah, I think when we looked into it, we felt like there was enough of a connection there.

And so because you know they were wondering what you know, how they could partner with the city, and I thought, well, you know, I need to just double check with that.

But I think if it's something like well, like there's an organization that's doing a diaper drive right now at IKEA in a a few weeks.

Um if it's something like, oh, the pantry needs diapers, like if they're out of diapers or something, that might be something that if they approached this committee or you know, somebody and said, could you help us gather these things or something?

We talked about doing like a a school backpack drive for the um kids in within Draper who might need backpacks, um, and they said, you know, how is that something the city could facilitate?

I said, I think you might need to go through the schools to do something like that, or PTA.

But it seems like these organizations are really willing to give back to the community.

Um and so um I think they want to give they they want to give backpacks or they want to ask the no, they want to like a s you know, assemble backpacks for kids who might need school supplies.
