All right, now the America 250 update, which is the update on the city council discussion.

Um, I'm assuming that was probably Marsha that was giving that update, maybe.

Um we have a couple things in mind.

Um, we are gonna do a proclamation.

If we have to do we do a proclamation by the end of the year, and then we're we have to set up a committee.

And if we do those two things by the end of the year, they will give us $1,500.

Um, we have some ideas that we kind of ran by the council and the community engagement committee wants to be involved as well at the next meeting.

Um David Wilkes is planning on um he threw out an idea that he could have 250 kids walking the parade with flags.

So we thought that would be cute.

Um there's uh they're suggesting to have an America's potlap day.

And that's on July 5th.

So we've reserved every pavilion in the city.

Yeah, and the day barn and the one at the arena.

So those are all reserved, so we're um thinking that yeah, the city could provide either drinks or ice cream or something and have each community come do potluck.

So that would be kind of fun.

And then um some other ideas were um they might do like a walk or by 250 miles, kind of an ongoing you know, thing for the year.

They talked about planning 250 trees.

Oh, I like that.

Um, they talked about coloring contests for kids.

Um we're trying to um maybe use some of the existing city events, uh-huh, like Memorial Day, better, you know, and kind of take advantage of do some things there.

So it's early stages, but we want to um start on the committee and the resolution at least um get going before the end of the year and then keep brainstorming.

And uh that's a very busy office over here off of Ford Street, and uh where my wife goes, the they're always busy and everything, and I asked if we can put something there, and office management uh manager told me no, but the dentist who owns the office was not like things around on the calendar, so we couldn't put it there.

And I had the I had taken one and we I had a perfect spot where it was go.

Yeah, plenty of room.

But they said no.

I'm actually impressed you've only had one no.

Yeah.

We've only had one no this whole entire time.

Yeah, everybody else has been very receptive.

I also placed uh one of the display uh newness with uh display containers with uh 60 brochures and about five from the historical society at the um neighbor park uh middle school.

And they were very receptive there, and now the new containers have arrived, so between now and next meeting I will file really work on it.

So I have the containers now with with the four slots, which really works out much better, and uh to make some real good progress.

But I was always sad about rejecting an exact place where it could go and it looked great.

Yeah, nothing worse than the first rejection.

I talked to the dentist, but I talked to but the receptor just talked to the office manager and she said absolutely not.

And um it's kind of torn up now.

It is like she's taken off the wallpaper and found six layers of it that with paint and everything between it and so she's she sent us pictures of um the realtor's pictures from when they bought the home, and then she's gonna take pictures now when they're doing before they start the restoration and while they're doing it.

So and then when they're all done, we think it'd be best to do a video tour.

Cool and then include those pictures in with it.

Yeah, that would be perfect.

Yeah, so that's the idea.

Then I also had the house next to the Draper store at theater reach out to me and say they want to do it in March.

Awesome.

So I think that's probably who we will go with for for this year's.
