The Advisory Parks Commission met on February 24, 2025, at Moonshine Park to receive presentations on parks maintenance and forestry operations, discuss recreational facility updates, and determine the 2025 playground replacement location.
Good evening. I'd like to call the Parks and Rec Commission meeting for February 24th to order to rise for the pledge. What do we need to do? And to the Republic for which it stands under God with liberty and justice for all. Any corrections to the agenda that was printed? No, Chair. Do I have a motion for approval of the agenda? I'll move to approve the agenda. All those in favor? Aye. Opposed. And approved. And we've got minutes for last year, actually, at this point. Any updates of those or as printed? As printed. All right. Do we have a motion or questions? I move we approve the minutes as printed. I second. All is in favor? Aye. Aye. Posed? All right. Minutes approved. Do we need to separately do both minutes or um we typically have in the past. Okay. All right. So we also have the workshop minutes for January. Do we have a motion on that? I make a motion. Do we have a second? A second. All in favor? Aye. Aye. Opposed. All right. All minutes are approved. Visitors to be heard that are not on the agenda. All right. Then we'll move right into presentations. All right, Chair and Commission. Thank you for having us here tonight. Andrew, as he has um so graciously taken the IT presentation role tonight. So this will be good experience for all. But um tonight we're here to give an update on our park and forestry divisions of the parks and recreation department. Um this group overlaps a lot with our recreation division and our recreational facilities such as the pool, the ice rune, and the community center. Um we also do a lot of work with our streets department water quality and public work. So uh we have two of our three supervisors here tonight to talk about uh their respective divisions.
