The Fond du Lac County Board of Supervisors met on June 23, 2026 at 5:00 PM. The meeting was called to order with 20 supervisors present (later 22). Routine approvals were passed, and the board debated amendments to the county parks ordinance before referring them back to committee. A major presentation on jail operational planning and alternatives to incarceration was delivered by Tom Weber of Just US Service Group.
Resolution 23-26 (Chapter 42 Parks Ordinance Amendment): Proposed amendments to allow expanded use of Veterans Park, including special events up to 1,200 people, and to reorganize park rules. Supervisor Streeter voiced opposition, citing disrespect to gold star families and the park's memorial purpose. County Executive Kaufman noted the compromise between younger and older veterans and that a special events policy would be developed. Supervisor Ryan moved to refer the resolution back to the UW-Extension Education, Agriculture and Recreation Committee due to insufficient detail and concerns. After debate (including concerns from Supervisor Hayes about public input and Supervisor Simon opposing), the amendment to refer passed by a 13-? majority hand vote; the resolution was not adopted.

First item on the agenda is to approve the minutes of the May 19th, 2026 meeting of the Fond du Lac County Board. Is there a motion to approve?
