The Mayor and Board of Aldermen of Frederick, Maryland, held a public meeting on October 6, 2022, at 7:00 PM. The meeting covered approval of minutes, consent agenda items, and five public hearing items. All votes were unanimous (5-0). Key discussions included the purchase of a new citizen services software suite, a replacement mower, a crossing guard program contract, and two items related to Culler Lake improvements. Aldermen raised equity concerns about the crossing guard program and park investment priorities.

Uh we have someone in our family who uh has been diagnosed, and um uh she had really been given a very short time, and we got news today that actually like a miracle happened, and she basically beat it. So we're still waiting for some of the additional scans, but I just want to thank the city for acknowledging that and remind all my fellow women, and of course, men too, actually, but especially the women, please go get your scans.
