The Hudson, Ohio Planning Commission convened on Monday, January 9, 2023, at 7:30 PM at Town Hall, 27 East Main Street. All seven members were present. The meeting began with officer elections, followed by a lengthy public hearing on a conditional use and site plan application from American Fireworks for additional fireworks storage containers. The commission ultimately voted unanimously to continue the application to the next regular meeting, imposing several conditions.
Good evening, everyone. Welcome to the first meeting of 2023 of the Planning Commission. This is our regular January meeting. Mr. Sugar, if you could please call a roll. Yes. Ms. Jones? Here. Ms. Norman. Here. Mr. Furby. Here. Mr. Nystrom. Here. Mr. Lehman? Mr. Vaughan? Here. Mr. Stoley. Here. All seven are present, so we definitely have a quorum. I'm going to change the order on tonight's agenda just slightly. We'll do the swearing in right after we do the first thing we're supposed to do in the start of a new year, and that's the election of officers. The commission elects two officers, a chair and a vice chair. I'll entertain nominations. If there are any questions, is there a particular order in which we'll do the chair first and then first. Okay. Mr. Stoley, I would like to nominate you to be uh continue on your role as chair. If it's up to the commission and you'd like me to stay on, I'd be glad to. Are there is there a second? Second. Are there any other nominations? Mm-hmm. I move that the nominations be closed. Okay, there's motion there. I'm sure there's second. I'll second. Any opposed? Uminations are closed. Mr. Sugar, if you call a roll. Ms. Jones?
