Lake Havasu City Council Regular Meeting - April 22, 2025

The Lake Havasu City Council held a regular meeting on Tuesday, April 22, 2025, at 5:30 PM in the Council Chambers. During Public Hearings:

  • Bonny Toy (citizen) asked whether the pavement management program would address water runoff on new pavement. She also raised the need for dog leash signage along the Bridgewater Channel.
  • Tim Murray (citizen) expressed appreciation for city roadwork and the Main Street Commons Project, and encouraged the Council to revisit the five pillars of the Vision 20/20 Plan before moving forward.

During Call to the Public:

  • Emiliano Torres (citizen) noted the short deadline (April 25, 2025) to apply for the General Plan Steering Committee and mentioned website navigation difficulties.
  • Sara Akon (teacher, Ballet Havasu) invited the Council and community to the production “Alice’s Adventure in Wonderland” on April 26–27, 2025, at the Lake Havasu High School Performing Arts Center.
  • Nicholas Black (citizen) inquired about the future use of the Arizona State University facility. The Council acknowledged the question and promised to follow up.
  • Tim Murray (citizen, reappearing) reiterated his support for reassessing the Vision 20/20 Plan’s five pillars (economic development, education, tourism, water, community engagement).

  • 7.1 – Series #12 Restaurant Liquor License (El Paraiso Family Mexican Restaurant): City Clerk Kelly Williams confirmed all posting and fee requirements were met, with no objections.
