0:37

And I don't see anybody else recording this evening's meeting.

0:40

So we will move on with announcements from the chair.

0:45

First of all, I'd like to announce that Elizabeth Freeman Center is having their rise together walk with the Lenox Library on Thursday, September 24th.

0:56

That's going to be held with the Lenox Library staff and Lennox Community Center.

1:01

And there will be several little events as part of this.

1:05

There'll be some craft making at the library.

1:08

The walk will go from the Lenox Library Roach Reading Park to the community center.

1:13

And you can find out more about the walk by going to Elizabeth Freeman Center or the Lennox Library web page.

1:23

Secondly, I would like to introduce Harvey Waller, who's here this evening.

1:28

He is going to talk to us about Berkshire Coaching Weekend, which is going to be held October 10th, 11th, and 12th this year.

1:38

Welcome, Harvey.

1:39

That'd be great.

Speaker 2

1:41

Good evening, everyone.

Speaker 3

1:42

As you say, I'm Harvey Waller, and we own the horse facility Orleton Farm.

1:48

And this will be like the ninth time that we've come before the board that we've done this event.

1:54

And we'll be on the roads to secondary roads for the three days.

2:00

We've got chaps coming from Pennsylvania, Virginia.

2:04

There should be about 10 of us on the road.

2:07

The first day, the 10th, we'll be at uh High Lawn around 11 o'clock.

2:14

And then the second day we'll be at the Mount.

2:17

And the third day we'll be at a private residence down in Stockbridge.

2:20

So we'll go through the town of Stockbridge.

2:24

As I say, uh there'll be four in hands.

2:26

So a four in hands is four horses to a carriage, and then we'll have a few pairs.

2:31

So I think in total we're about 10, nine or ten, so that's a good grouping.

2:37

These guys in the carriage world, um, Lennox is always got great history.

2:43

There were five members of the coaching club that that bought and built here in Lennox, uh, Skimmerhorn, uh Harris Farnstock.

2:51

Um there's I'm forgetting the other ones.

2:56

But but this was the place to come, and they spent great gobs of money to come and do that.

3:01

So uh we're just uh here to kind of let you know we'll be on the roads, and uh we'll be talking to the police about uh how to handle the you know any road issues.

3:12

So uh so we look forward to the event.

3:15

So if you have any questions.

Speaker 1

3:17

Terrific.

3:18

Now it sounds like if you're working with the police department and the fire department, just to make sure that you know your traveling isn't going to interfere with public safety.

3:27

I I think that's fantastic.

3:29

I I know it's a very beautiful weekend um in the Berkshires, having all these coaches come through, uh, and it'll be a fantastic experience for people in Lennox and Stockbridge.
