Earlier this winter, two Mandan businesses were nominated for the Winter Decorate an Award.

This award goes to a business decorating their building exteriors and interior spaces visible from the outside.

Decorating was to be lit or unlit, festive, fun or elegant.

A public voting period took place in January, and Cappuccino and Collins won by three votes over Neighbor Keynote Aromas.

So Lori has served on the Community Beautification Committee since it was reactivated in 2013, serving four consecutive terms, a total of 12 years.

Lori was also a part of the reactivation, an integral part of the reactivation of that committee.

Um she recently decided to not seek another term, and while we're sad to see her go, we're thankful for her service to the city of Mandan.

Lori um is one to step up to the plate.

She brings ideas, but she also is like the hands and feet to those ideas too.

And so we always appreciate the volunteers that are able to help in that way.

Um she spent many years helping us with community cleanup month, and it used to be a day back in the day.
