Resolution 26-111 – Hotel-Like Properties

• Chair Uu Hodgins described the resolution as covering properties that operate like hotels (centralized services, front desk, etc.). The initial list included Wailea Ekahi 1–3, Wailea Ekolu, The Palms at Wailea 1, Papakea, and Maui El Dorado.
• Member Cook’s amendment added three properties: Kamā‘ole Sands, Luana Kai, and Mahina Surf. Member Cook detailed their hotel-like features (front desk, linen service, round-the-clock staff, etc.). The amendment passed 6–2–1 (excused: Paulton; opposed: Johnson, Rollins Fernandez).
• Member Sinansi’s amendment added Hanakai Maui in Hāna, described as a boutique hotel serving both visitors and residents. Passed 6–2–1 (same lineup).

Key Outcomes
