The Alapata Community Redevelopment Agency (CRA) Board met on July 23, 2026, to consider and adopt a new community redevelopment plan for the Alapata neighborhood. The meeting was called to order by Commissioner Gabella. The board approved the minutes from the June 11, 2026 meeting and then proceeded to the sole agenda item.

- Sylvie spoke in support of the redevelopment plan, calling it a "big milestone" and congratulating the board. She also mentioned coordinating with the Brick Underline project to give the Alapata Underline its own unique character.

- Resolution 1: Adoption of the community redevelopment plan for the Alapata Redevelopment District. The resolution was read into the record by Assistant City Attorney Dominique Gibbs Sori. The plan is attached as Exhibit A, covering the geographic area described in Exhibit B. The resolution makes certain findings and directs a copy to be submitted to the governing body of the Alapata CRA. No board discussion occurred.

Um, so um had a couple of convers had a couple of conversations. Um, what we're gonna do commissioners, if that's all right with you. Um Commissioner King has a flight to catch later this afternoon. We're gonna do all three CRAs. So we'll do the Alapata CRA. Um, we'll move in whatever order we think we're ready for to Omni and then over town park west. So Commissioner Gabella, over to you to start the Alapata CRA meeting. Thank you. Good afternoon to everyone. I'm calling to order the July twenty third, twenty twenty-sixorium meeting. Is there uh a motion to approve the minutes for the June eleventh twenty six years meeting? Second. All in favor. Okay. I will um our attorney will briefly uh read the agenda item resolution number one into the record. Good afternoon, board. Dominique Gibbs Sori, assistant city attorney for the city of Miami serving as general counsel to the Alapata CRA. Resolution one is a resolution of the Board of Commissioners of the Alapata Redevelopment District Community Redevelopment Agency approving, accepting, and adopting the community redevelopment plan attached as exhibit A regarding certain geographic area of the city of Miami, known as Alla Pata, as more particularly described in Exhibit B attached and incorporated, making certain findings with respect to such redevelopment plan and directing a copy of the resolution to be submitted to the governing body of the Alapata CRA. That's item number one, Commissioner. Thank you very much. The public comment period is now open for resolution number one. Are there any public comments? Any Sylvie Commissioner Gabella, congratulations. This is a big milestone. Frank Casanena, congratulations. And I know um some of the other folks uh from the neighborhood that also worked on this. I think it's a huge accomplishment. And I just uh wanted to let you know I'm starting to work together on the Alla Pata underline project. I'm currently coordinating with the Brick Underline to give it its own unique taste. And uh look forward to talking to you about that offline and congratulations on this huge milestone for the neighborhood. Thank you very much, Subia. We appreciate that.
