We do have a proclamation. At this time, I would like to invite Director Nixon LeBron and team to accept the proclamation and observance of Flood Awareness Week. Flood Awareness Week, March third through 9th, 2025. Whereas, like many other communities in the state of Florida, the City of Myanmar has experienced severe weather in the past in the form of extreme rainfall or tropical system events resulting in flooding. And whereas minor and severe flooding has caused damage and flood losses to homes and buildings in our community, whether they are in high-risk special flood hazard areas or low moderate risk flood zones. And whereas the city of Miramar is one of four hundred and sixty-eight communities in the state of Florida that voluntarily participate in the national flood insurance program, which provides residents with the opportunity to protect themselves against flood loss through the purchase of flood insurance. And whereas the city of Miramar is also one of two hundred and forty-four of these Florida communities that voluntarily participate in the community rating system known as CRS and have set high regulatory standards to reduce flood risk and potential flood damage to the community, which provides premium discounts to NI to NFIP policy holders.
