Uh section 2675 of the election code permits the board of elections to temporarily appoint qualified individuals to fill any vacancies occurring at any time in the five days preceding an election.

There is a list attached to your agenda entitled Poll Worker Appointments for the 2025 municipal election.

We are requesting that the board move to approve the individuals on this list to serve in the named election districts and named positions for the 2025 municipal election and for that election only.

Election Preparations: Frank reported that over 106,335 mail-in ballots had been sent out, and over 78,000 had been returned as of the meeting—a record for an odd-year election. The board noted that this is significantly higher than predicted. For the November 4 election day, polls will be open from 7 AM to 8 PM, with 428 polling places across 313 physical locations. A polling location in Lower Frederick has been moved, and affected voters were notified by mail.
