  • Modify Parking Restrictions in the Historic District (25-0524): Project Manager Sydney Smith presented a proposal to update the municipal code to match existing signed parking restrictions in the historic district. No physical changes to signage or parking will occur. Staff identified discrepancies and outdated ordinances, and the recommendation aligns the code with current field conditions.   • Establish Overnight Parking Exemptions for Astor Place (25-0702): Smith presented an HOA request for overnight parking on the north side of Alta Vista Court. Nine permits will be issued; work vehicles (3 families) receive priority, remaining hang tags distributed by lottery annually. City operations (Police, Fire, Public Works) reviewed the location and found no issues with emergency vehicle access.     • Memorial Day Grant: 37 hours, 42 traffic stops, 39 citations (16 seatbelts, 6 speeding, 7 distracted driving).
    • Upcoming: Independence Day grant (June 20–July 7, 40 hours CPO, 20 hours DUI enforcement) and July speed enforcement (approximately 100 hours).
  • Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan Update: Smith reported that the RFP closed on May 30, 2025, with four proposals received. Staff will evaluate proposals next week, with a recommendation to City Council expected in August.
