Community engagement is one-third complete, with an interactive map receiving over 400 comments. Two new public events are scheduled for 2026 (January and April). Staff clarified that TAB will guide the plan process, but due to the Open Meetings Act, only two TAB members may attend the upcoming public open house at a time.
  • E-Bike Ordinance Update: Mr. Webb requested an update on the e-bike ordinance. Staff confirmed that City Council approved the ordinance on December 2nd with no changes. The ordinance supplements the Illinois Vehicle Code by imposing a 15 mph speed limit on all electric bikes on city and park district trails and banning Class 3 e-bikes (capable of 28 mph), aligning with DuPage County recommendations and the Park District's existing rules.
