in the Aldermanic Chamber, which has been duly noticed in two places, including the city's website in accordance with the requirements of RSA 91A.

The prayer will be offered tonight by Alderman O'Brien and Alderman Senate will lead us in the pledge to the flag.

Almighty God, we have the high honor and the serious duty of managing the affairs of our beloved city.

Fill us, oh God, with a spirit of unity and understanding, which enables us to face our multiple problems with a serene mind, with justice and charity for all.

And so that any and all decisions made by us will always be for the betterment and greater happiness of all our fellow citizens.

So help us guard commitment.

So tonight we have a public hearing on R25211, and I will turn the meeting over to the chair of the budget review committee, Alderman Down.

Okay, tonight we have a public hearing on R25211 relative to the supplemental appropriation of 148,035 and 89 cents of unanticipated revenue into fund number 7024 opioid abatement expandable trust fund.

Is there someone here that would like to speak to this?

Director Bagley.

Yes, good evening and thank you.

Uh Bobby Bagley, Director for our Division of Public Health and Community Services.

And I am here to speak on the supplemental appropriation of the 148,000 $35.89s from the opioid abatement settlement.

Um that has come through for the past couple of years to uh national as one of the subdivisions that is a part of this largest settlement.

Uh this funding has been used to support our uh individuals in our community that are dealing with substance use disorder.

In particular, we've used this funding for housing support for those that are in sober living to help individuals uh get their identifications, birth certificates, uh, with job support.

We've also used some of this funding to support uh community health workers when the funds from the state were pulled back.

We were able to maintain some staffing of our community health workers for a couple of months, and we also use this funding to support our warming station that we ran last year and that we plan to run again uh this year.

Uh this is we have it listed as unanticipated revenue, but this is the funding that will continue to come through from these settlements for the next.

So we're we're we we're three years in already, so for the next uh 15 years uh that will be coming through.

And so um it is uh money that is used directly under the RSA from the state uh legislation uh with regards to providing prevention, recovery, treatment um services.

We also fund some of our partners in the community that deliver these services as well to be in alignment with the um requirements of that funding source.

And so I'm speaking on behalf of us of you, accepting this funds.

Okay, I have one question.

Uh Donna asked me today.

How urgent is that you get this funding for the warming station?

Because it's not on the agenda tomorrow.

So currently for um the fund this funding that's coming in.

Um we actually have a fund balance right now of about 323,000 in the opida beatment um fund right now.

And so we the 148 can go through the regular processes.

Um we won't need to tap into this.

Um we won't be in a in a deficit if this 148 is not approved.
