Okay, tonight we have a public hearing on R25211 relative to the supplemental appropriation of 148,035 and 89 cents of unanticipated revenue into fund number 7024 opioid abatement expandable trust fund.

And I am here to speak on the supplemental appropriation of the 148,000 $35.89s from the opioid abatement settlement.

Um that has come through for the past couple of years to uh national as one of the subdivisions that is a part of this largest settlement.

Uh this funding has been used to support our uh individuals in our community that are dealing with substance use disorder.

In particular, we've used this funding for housing support for those that are in sober living to help individuals uh get their identifications, birth certificates, uh, with job support.

We've also used some of this funding to support uh community health workers when the funds from the state were pulled back.

We were able to maintain some staffing of our community health workers for a couple of months, and we also use this funding to support our warming station that we ran last year and that we plan to run again uh this year.

Uh this is we have it listed as unanticipated revenue, but this is the funding that will continue to come through from these settlements for the next.

So we're we're we we're three years in already, so for the next uh 15 years uh that will be coming through.

And so um it is uh money that is used directly under the RSA from the state uh legislation uh with regards to providing prevention, recovery, treatment um services.

We also fund some of our partners in the community that deliver these services as well to be in alignment with the um requirements of that funding source.
