1:52Our current balance of the operating account 2505.
1:57And I apologize, I made a mistake in the in what I sent you, or or what I sent out uh uh on the desk today.
2:07Um our operating account 2505 is 288,844, not 288,000 dollars.
2:17And our expenses for May 2026, including salaries and facility operations, totaled $34,475, not $400.
2:28Um we had fifth $5,903 cable casts total March from March 2026 to May 2026.
2:36Uh of this, 150 were live events, and of this it broke down to the public.
2:42Uh excuse me, was 28.
2:44Education 22 was 47, and government was uh 52, and our HD channel was 23.
2:52And we had 5753 playbacks, and of this public six was 2682, education 22 was 852, and government 16 was 957, and our HD channel uh was 1262.
3:11We had some equipment problems both in the chamber and auditorium.
3:15In the chamber we replaced the PoE switch at as well as testing of the entire system here.
3:21Um all is working properly now.
3:23In the auditorium, we had a down camera and the monitor controller for the room was not responding.
3:28Uh Key Code, our vendor was able to repair the camera and through their troubleshooting determine that the controller is at the end of its life.
3:37Uh so they will be sending us a quote for a replacement controller.
3:41Uh the question we have is uh the that we've got to answer is who is responsible for payment uh of that controller of getting that system going up there again, uh, because that wouldn't be us.
3:52That w that we we've got everything else in there, uh cameras and and everything in the switcher.
3:58Um as I explained in my email, we apologize for not having this June meeting take place at at our studio.
4:09We didn't realize in March that this week would be major bu uh budget public hearing, wrap-up and multiple meetings each night, as well as a north and south high graduations, which went off really really well.
4:22Um we we cover the that we cover live each year on Tuesday and Wednesday night.
4:26Uh we'd like to have the September meeting take place in the studio if that's possible.
4:31Uh we presented in front of the finance committee on May 20th for the second year contract extension for B ERB TV to run our public access channels.
4:41And they unanimously approved the extension.
4:44So we would like to congratulate BRB TV to continue putting up with us.
4:49Um we have we have been having issues with several lighting fixers at the CTV offices.
4:55That prompted us to start considering a change from the standard fluorescent tube lighting to more efficient LED lighting.
5:12Retrofitted with the LED tube lights in the common area as well as task lighting in the studio and replacing fixtures in the drop-down ceilings in the three offices.
5:27Cost estimates about three months ago were 1,800.
5:32So we would request authorization to spend an amount not to exceed $2,200 from equipment repairs and maintenance budget to upgrade our current lighting to cost saving LED technology.
6:49Yeah, Pete Johnson Education Channel Administrator.
6:54So yes, uh on uh Wednesday evening we did lose uh one camera um one of the ones that was uh intended to be replaced during the um hopefully during the summer here with that Comcast money so um we can discuss that later on especially if there does become a quorum so uh as far as programming on uh our side we've been uh extremely busy obviously for the last uh couple of weeks and uh months so in March uh going back to our last meeting we had uh a lot of uh basketball ending the uh the month so we did uh Nashua South Girls Basketball versus Pinkerton on the second fourth we did live coverage of Wyndham at South Boys Basketball, the fifth live coverage of Exeter at South Girls Basketball.
7:52On the 9th, we did live coverage of the fiscal year 2027 school budget public hearing.
8:01On the 11th we recorded Bishop Gerton hockey at uh the UNH arena, I think is what it says.
8:13I'm reading it correctly.
8:17Um S N U H up in Manchester, it wasn't over and at the Seacoast.
8:22So uh we recorded uh Bishop Gerton hockey at Concord uh final at I think that's twice three 22 recorded and oh Nashville Public Library.
8:39It's a little difficult to read, sorry about that.
8:41Um beyond the book uh author interview with Laura Canoy.
8:50So moving into April um a little bit slower for uh school sports as we were between seasons, but we uh continued we had a public health weekly uh kickoff that we have um recorded uh we also recorded a new children's program that's coming from the Gloria Timmins Community Center uh what's the name of that one Dan sorry excuse me Dan Young National Community Media Um the name of the show is Once Upon a Craft Time and it is uh show where and my uh I'm so bad with names uh two women read uh uh children's book and then they do a craft time uh craft activity based on that book whether it's it's coloring and painting or um the the first episode is the hungry caterpillar and they make a little caterpillar so or a butterfly sorry a beautiful butterfly so at this point they're coming in and doing a monthly show and uh in the fall we're looking at um bringing them in two times a month so that they can uh um have a little more frequency on their programming uh we did uh started baseball later in the month uh we did BG versus South at Holman uh we also did Alvern uh versus South at Hallman on the 21st, 24th
10:00So at this point they're coming in and doing a monthly show, and uh in the fall we're looking at um bringing them in two times a month so that they can uh um have a little more frequency on their programming.
10:13Uh we did uh started baseball later in the month.
10:20Uh we did BG versus South at Holman.
10:23Uh we also did Alvern uh versus South at Hallman on the 21st, 24th.
10:29We did BG versus North Baseball, 25th, we did the sustainability fair that was held uh at the Nashua Library, uh live uh coverage of our Salem versus South of Boys Lacrosse.
10:47Uh started our lacrosse coverage from Stellos Stadium on the 27th, and also on that night we um did a an Exeter versus Noise North Boys Lacrosse uh match and then uh rounded out the month with uh education uh I an education program and uh Ed interviewed the um teacher of the year candidate Lisa Drew uh coming up to May we had uh loyalty day ceremonies at Nashua Senior Center, uh live coverage of Battle of the Bridge, Lacrosse, and for that was for both boys and girls.
11:37We also did Battle of the Bridge baseball that week, and the following week we did uh La Crosse Double Header on Monday, Battle of the Bridge softball from Revier on Tuesday, recorded uh that once upon a craft show, the second episode of that, and recorded uh Nashua Public Health Matters in studio.
12:0118th, we did live coverage of Nashua Community College commencement, live coverage of the girls lacrosse uh from Stellos on the 21st, the 25th.
12:13We had Nashua Memorial Day Parade and finding and we did the Silver Knights uh education day game where uh children from the mostly elementary schools um go over and watch a game uh during the morning from the uh Holman Stadium.
12:37So I think at the point that's it.
12:42Um if we get into the other things we can discuss them later.
12:47All right, thank you, Mr.
12:50Thank you, Bob Bardas for Nashville Public Television.
12:54Paynant gave our numbers earlier in the program.
12:57I won't repeat that, but we continue to provide slides and billboards on both the BRB TV site as well as the WSMN site, promoting the channel as well as the ability to watch it on Roku and Apple TV as well as to sign out equipment.
13:12If people want to record uh shows and bring them in, we will air them.
13:17We uh continually post weekly all the shows that we do up to Roku and Apple so people can watch them on streaming in addition to the website or on Comcast.
13:27We've added two new live 24-7 cameras atop the Masonic building looking north and south on Main Street.
13:34That's in addition to the Nashua River Bridge Cam from the Chamber of Mr.
13:39I'm sorry to interrupt, but we now have a quorum, so let me uh officially kick off the meeting and then you can continue.
13:48All right, so uh as per uh RSA guidelines, this meeting has been published in multiple locations, including the city's website, and I will now take roll call.
14:02Chief Buxton present Lauren Byers not here, this is still Andrew Sonoda is not able to attend uh director Cummings Yes.
14:17Um I'm here um participating via Zoom.
14:20I'm not sure if you can hear me, but I can hear you and contemporaneously, and I am uh not in City Hall today due to other obligations.
14:31Yes, we can hear you, Director Cummings.
14:34All right, uh Patrick Hannon is not present.
14:39Uh Director McCormick present, Nick Meiserich.
14:45Uh Cole Morgan is not present, Alderman Morgan here.
14:52Here and Oscar Velasis.
15:00Since there is no members of the public present, we can skip public comment.
15:06Acceptance of the meetings of the previous minutes.
15:11I'll make a motion to accept and place on file.
15:14The motion is to accept and place on file the previous minutes.
15:28Bob Bartis for BRB TV part two.
15:33We've continued to post all our shows on Roku and Apple TV.
15:36We have added two new live cameras atop the Masonic building facing north and south on Main Street, which are now viewable 24-7.
15:43That is in addition to the Nashville River Bridge Camera at the Chamber of Commerce, the National Arts Center, the Nashville Senior Center River Cam, the National Public Library Dam Cam, the entrance to Minesfalls, and the West Hollis Street CAM.
15:58We have heard from people throughout the city that they have monitored that to look at traffic patterns, including other uh members of uh organizations within the city to keep track of what's going on.
16:08Our regular live events and also reoccurring uh include uh Mayor Jim Donchis weekly on air with County Treasurer David Fresnette, AMR Director Chris Stawaz, uh Nashville Fire Rescue Chief Steve Buxton and representatives from the Nashville Police Department during the last quarter.
16:25We've done several live and special broadcasts, which include the Nashville Fire Rescue graduation ceremony, Nashville Police Cone with a cop, the VFW Loyalty Day, Nashua Sculpture Symposium, and the Memorial Day parade was rained out and canceled, so we did not uh film that.
16:41Uh Pete Johnson and I continue to attend uh oftentimes with Dan Young as well.
16:46The quarterly New Hampshire Coalition for Community Media.
16:50It's basically a lunch and learn uh seminar that goes 90 minutes to two hours, and that's held quarterly uh with representatives from all over the state and occasionally from Massachusetts coming in for these lunch and learns typically uh hosted by Merrimack Public Television.
17:10Any comments on the reports we could add one thing, uh Mr.
17:17Um we did actually go through last night and look at the data from our graduation exercises, and Dan couldn't he's adding things up right here, but uh maybe in a couple of minutes we can do a quickie report on uh if you can give me just another couple of years.
17:37Yeah, it's maybe that's maybe during the second public comment.
17:41Yeah, we can do it then.
17:47Painter, financial statements?
17:49Or did you already cover those?
17:50Yeah, I did I did cover those.
17:52All right, uh let's cover them again since we're officially started.
17:57All right, our um excuse me, I've got the wrong one here.
18:01Okay, our our uh current balance of operating account 2505 is 288,844 dollars.
18:09Our expenses for May 2026, including salaries and facility operations, uh totaled 34,475 dollars.
18:18All right, thank you.
18:22We were asking for the um the lighting yeah, we'll get to that in the new business.
18:29Uh I don't see any old business listed, so new business.
18:36That would that was uh one of them was the uh the lighting in the in the studio that we want to and what we'd be asking excuse me.
18:49Oh, I'm sorry, I that's okay.
18:51Uh uh to author is we request an authorization to spend an amount not to exceed $2,200 uh for and this would be coming from the equipment repairs maintenance budget to upgrade our uh current lighting to cost-saving LED technology.
19:07All right, is there any discussion?
19:11Oh, actually, we need a motion first.
19:22From the equipment repairs and maintenance budget to repair the lighting in the studio.
19:28All right, the motion is to proceed forward.
19:35Seeing none, all those in favor?
19:38Oppose motion passes.
19:42The next one would be uh excuse me, the uh $25,000 that we will be receiving from from Comcast uh this month, and we would be we'll be requesting authorization to spend on those items uh especially the can the camera that just broke.
20:00Um in the amount not to exceed the $25,000 we will be receiving from Comcast later this month for equipment purchases.
20:09And that is what it's expressly uh there for the equipment.
20:15All right, is there a motion?
20:20Director McCormick, I move to approve an expenditure not to exceed $25,000 for the purchase of equipment allowable under the funding received from Comcast.
20:33Motion is to proceed with the purchase.
20:39What's uh what's the name brown of the camera that you guys do you guys have some of the equipment in mind that you guys are about to purchase or there aren't too many people that make those.
20:49Um we're looking at continuing with Sony cameras.
20:53This is Pete Johnson with uh National Educational TV.
20:57Um for a couple of reasons it makes sense to go with them since our operators are all familiar with them and the menu systems that are on the cameras.
21:09Uh we have also looked at um some canon cameras that would fit the bill as well.
21:18And I guess there was one panasonic correct.
21:23Um we have never had a Panasonic camera in our our past, but uh and the other manufacturer has since gone out of business, which was uh JVC.
21:34So we do have a uh JVC sports camera that allows us to broadcast uh from the camera directly uh from anywhere.
21:43So any of the new cameras will be able to do that.
21:46Um any of those three that we looked at, so they tend to run about uh five grand a piece.
21:55And and the other camera literally broke in half.
21:58So I guess we had tried to uh put a bag over it, and uh it looked like it might rain.
22:05So we had the bag over it, and I guess a whi a gust of wind came, and one of the teachers came running in and said, uh, your camera just blew over, and we found it down about 10 steps uh from where it was at and uh literally in pieces.
22:19So not too much we can do about that at the moment.
22:23So and Dan Young National Community Media.
22:26Um, to my knowledge, that's the first time we've yeah, we've uh that a piece of equipment over the years has drastically failed.
22:39Any further discussion?
22:42All right, all those in favor, aye, oppose motion passes.
22:50All right, uh we'll move on to public comment.
22:55Uh Dan Young, National Community Media.
22:58Um as everyone knows this week we had the Nashville High North and Nashville High South graduations, um, which were really well attended uh through the help of the school department and other online um other social media channels.
23:19Um the word was really the word was spread out that we were covering these events live.
23:28And um the the South graduation um showed 838 views over 409 viewers, while the north graduation uh they they did a better job pushing it out, and that was 1212 views over 587 viewers.
23:49Um between those two days we saw viewership from all across the country, um Puerto Rico, Colombia, um all through Central and South America, Taiwan, India, Guinea, France, Germany, Sylvania, Netherlands, and Brazil, just to name a few.
24:09Um, with Columbia and Puerto Rico, it looks like that they're the largest viewership that had come in, and um it's very exciting to see that that people are people are watching, and I thank everyone for that.
24:25I'd also like to thank our amazing crew that helped us get through both days.
24:30Right, and then uh Pete Johnson again.
24:32I'd just like to let folks know that those are only numbers for streaming through our streaming provider, so it does not count anything in Comcast where we don't get any data from them.
24:44So thank you very much.
24:48Okay, all right, remarks by the members.
24:54Seeing none, is there a motion?
25:00Motion is to adjourn.
25:10I just want to make sure it's noted for the record that we're going into the FY27 budget.
25:15Everything look like we are on plan, but FY28 is going to be uh difficult and problematic.
25:23Make sure this body is aware of it.
25:26And I would recommend that this body start to take some proactive measures should you want to change how you want to handle the FY28 budget.
25:33And that noted for the record.
25:44Meetings adjourned at 8.56.
25:47Thank you, everybody.
