Discussion: Mine Falls Park Cellular Antenna Lease Amendment

He noted the proposed fourth amendment to the site lease agreement with Singular Wireless PCS LLC represents a significant increase in revenue and suggested these funds could help level and stabilize the turf. Discussion: Silver Knights Dishwasher Installation
Parks Superintendent Brian Conant presented a proposal from the Silver Knights to install a dishwasher ($10,610) in the ground-level concession stand at Holman Stadium. The cost would be offset against their 2026 lease rental. Mayor Donchus questioned whether the city would effectively pay for the improvement; Conant confirmed the Silver Knights would pay the full cost but deduct it from rent. And we have um Alderman Dowd here. All right. We have first um the agenda. Um Commissioner Greg. I motion to approve the agenda as submitted. All those in favor of the motion say aye. Aye. Aye. Next we have item three, the minutes. Commissioner Shea. I move to approve the minutes of the Board of Public Works meeting of May twenty-eighth, twenty twenty-six in the minutes of the special board of public works meeting of May twenty-first, twenty twenty-six. No. So we'll go to item five, Board of Alderman referral. Item A, Commissioner Lemon. Do I move for this? Do I move to authorize the resolution? You would the motion would be to recommend uh the to the board of alderman that we pass it, that they pass it. Okay. I move to recommend that we authorize a fourth amendment to the site lease agreement with singular wireless PCS LLC regarding the cellular antenna site at Mines Fall Park. Any discussion. Commissioner Shay. Thank you. Um we were down uh for soccer um this uh past weekend and I I was talking to some of the parents um down at uh at Minefalls. Um they offered some feedback about the field conditions there, and I I know that um uh these lease agreements represent uh a bit of an increase over where they've been at actually a significant increase. Um I I assured them that um with with Superintendent Conan, we had someone who was very adept at knowing the turf and and that I would bring that back uh to the department, uh the the division and the board. Um so I'm doing that now. Um so you know, in in time um where there's opportunity to uh level and stabilize the turf. Um I I feel that that was the kind of at the core of um the discussion. And the point being that the funds from the cell tower could be used to perform that work or help with that around. Yeah, and and as we have an increase, it creates more opportunity to to perhaps consider um bonding um significant stabilization of the turf and um yeah. Thank you. Okay. Thank you for that feedback.
