We thank you tonight, good God, for these your servants, our mayor who's recovering, our city council member present here, our city staff who are here. We give you thanks for the ways of service that each of them have contributed to take up on behalf of you community, loving and caring, wonderful New Berlin community. In particular, this evening we ask your blessing on those who are to be reappointed to the city council, as well as the newly elected and those who have served so faithfully in the past. We pray for their wisdom, their strength, and their courage to do what is right and what is good for all of our citizens. May they put the interests of others be up above their own, and may they act with love for the common good. May they be good neighbors, recognizing you in your image in all that we encounter. Once again, we thank you for our mayor.
